MoRENet took part in a Workshop on EC Support to
Research and Education Networking in south-Eastern Africa -
Extending the reach of GÉAN in Brussels.The workshop was
organized in the context of the European Union’s “New Strategy
for Africa”, emphasizing the role of ICT-based infrastructures
in building the EU-Africa partnership. Recent developments in
Africa include the creation of the “UbuntuNet Alliance”,
considered to be an important building block for this
strategy.
Among the
participants will be the Minister for Science and Technology
